Jeb Bush, Florida’s 43rd Governor and Chairman of the Foundation for Florida’s Future, issued the following statement in response to Tuesday’s election results:
“Congratulations to Governor-elect Byron Donalds! Floridians have placed their trust in a leader who believes, as I do, that our state’s best days are still ahead. We share a deep commitment to Florida’s students and families, and I’m excited about the opportunities we will have over the next four years to build on the work that has already been achieved.
“We look forward to working with Governor-elect Donalds to write the next chapter of Florida’s education success story, one that’s grounded in high expectations, honest accountability, opportunity, and rising achievement for every child.
“I look forward to supporting Governor-elect Donalds as he gets to work for the people of Florida. Columba and I will be praying for Byron, Erika and the entire Donalds family as the Governor-elect transitions to leading our state.”
