Statement by Patricia Levesque, Executive Director of the Foundation for Florida’s Future, on Gov. Ron DeSantis’ proposal announced today to reward high-performing teachers and principals:
“We fully support increasing teacher pay. Rewarding teachers and principals who successfully collaborate to create a rich learning environment ensures that student success is, appropriately, at the center of any performance-based plan.
“Combined with his proposal to raise all teachers’ pay, Gov. DeSantis has taken bold steps to ensure that our students continue to learn more and earn experience that will prepare them for success in school, careers and life.”
