Colleen currently serves as vice president, board member and co-owner of EarthSteps. The firm engages in energy efficiency. Castille served as Chief Cabinet Aide for the Office of Governor Jeb Bush during the passage and implementation of Florida’s bold A+ plan in 1999. The plan encompassed a combination of reforms – rigorous academic standards, standardized measurement, data-based accountability, effective teaching, outcome-based funding, and school choice. Castille also served as former Secretary of both the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA), Colleen has had a tremendous impact on Florida’s environmental and energy policies, as well as economic development and growth management issues. She serves as a board member of the LeRoy Collins Institute and is a trustee of the Foundation for Florida’s Future.
