Florida’s families, students and teachers need to be at the center of the work. Let’s keep them foremost in our minds as we engage in this year’s legislative process. Watch for stories from real Florida families, a reminder that futures are at stake for children like Lucca.

He is currently thriving in a private school setting thanks to lawmakers who expanded access to Florida’s K-12 scholarship programs last legislative session.

His story is powerful, and we must harness creativity and resources to making sure Lucca and every child in Florida has the opportunity to succeed in school and in life.

In 2020, Florida lawmakers increased the number of available scholarships and Lucca was able to receive a scholarship through a different program. Now Lucca can stay in a school that meets his learning needs.
